Current coverage
The app is free. Its interface is currently in Simplified Chinese and version 1.2.0 includes fourteen properties and 180 selectable buildings across several districts of Beijing, China (available after approval; actual coverage depends on the installed version). It does not include U.S. properties or worldwide property search. Requires iOS / iPadOS 17 or later. Calculations use December 21, 2025 and June 21, 2026; displayed times use Beijing time (UTC+8).
Getting started
Open 使用指南 (Usage Guide) on the home screen or select a property. Select a building and floor, then drag the time slider directly below the model. Use the play button to watch changes through the day. Switch between 冬至 (winter solstice) and 夏至 (summer solstice) for sunlight durations, intervals and blocking buildings. Drag to rotate, pinch to zoom or tap a building to select it.
Longyue Jingxu: Building 18 sections
Building 18 has a west section with a maximum of 9 floors and an east section with a maximum of 11 floors. Switching sections automatically limits your floor selection. Buildings 9 and 17 are ancillary buildings.
Opening a shared link
The shared text summary can be read directly. A guangjitanlou:// link requires the recipient to have the app installed. This version does not provide a browser-based page for individual analysis results.
Removing local selections
Deleting the app normally removes saved local selections; iOS offloading may keep them. Backup restoration follows your system settings. The app has no sign-in accounts or server account data.
Understanding estimates
Results estimate sunlight on the comparison facade defined by the selected building or section using a simplified model and are for understanding and comparison only. Each property's information screen states its model coverage and limitations. Yuanxi north and south are clearly labelled as approximate models. Rendered shadows are illustrative. Results are not a window-specific daylight assessment, planning compliance determination or property guarantee. Open 采光是怎么算的 in the app for calculation details.
Suggesting a missing property
If your search has no results, prepare a support email draft and confirm sending it yourself. If system mail is unconfigured, open your mail app or copy the address and text. No request is automatically registered or uploaded.
